You're TWICE As Likely to Get Better Here
After a year of consideration, I knew it was time to get help for my alcohol addiction. Journey Pure treated me with love and respect. They helped me deal with cravings and underlying issues.
All the staff in Bowling Green are amazing and treats you like family rather than a patient. You will not regret getting the help you deserve and the happiness that comes with it.
The staff are caring...and nonjudgemental and most are in recovery themselves so they know where we've been and what we are going through.
The staff was so down to earth and genuinely cared. I never felt out of place, embarrassed, and quite honestly I didn’t want to stop when my time was up. Thank you for saving my life AND helping me bring my family back together.

Bowling Green IOP Program & Suboxone Clinic FAQ
What is the Bowling Green schedule?
IOP program in Bowling Green runs Monday – Friday with morning and night options.
Because the major benefit of outpatient is the ability to work around job or family obligations, you have flexibility with the schedule and can choose from virtual or in-person options.
Appointments are being scheduled as you look at your calendar, so no excuses.
Do most people start IOP after rehab?
Nearly 60% of people come to our IOP after attending one of our inpatient rehabs as part of their plan for continued care.
Not surprising because:
- The JourneyPure Bowling Green inpatient rehab is down the street.
- For those with insurance, IOP treatment is usually completely covered after rehab. There’s no reason not to go!
That said, the other 40% of people in the program have all kinds of backgrounds. For some, IOP here is their first (and only) treatment experience.
Therapists here meet you where you’re at and help you get where you want to go.
Is there an opiate crisis in Bowling Green?
The latest data in Kentucky shows that:
- There was a 22% increase in drug overdose-related deaths from 2019 to 2020.
- Since the pandemic began, this is the largest increase of deaths that Kentucky has experienced since January 2015.
- Warren County has even sued drug pharmacies and distributors for instigating the current opioid pandemic.
- The city of Bowling Green schedules “Take Back Days” to keep unused and expired prescription addictive medications away from any abuse.
Bowling Green officials realize there is a serious drug problem in our community, especially with heroin and fentanyl. JourneyPure works closely with the Warren Drug Court Program, the Warren County Regional Jail and Kentucky Medicaid to get each person the care they need to stay sober long-term.
How do I enroll in the Bowling Green clinic?
1. Most people ensure their insurance policy covers treatment before enrolling. The answer is almost always yes, but check your insurance online or call with your insurance card to get specific answers.
2. You will get a call or text to schedule your initial assessment with a therapist. This is usually done virtually over Zoom. The therapist gets to know you and evaluates whether this program will be able to help you.
3. You can start group therapy sessions the same day as your initial assessment and schedule any medical and individual therapy appointments as needed.
